dc.descriptionThe leaf of soursop (Annona muricata Linn.) is a plant that has an active component of phenolic compounds are flavonoids, poliphenol and terpenoid. Flavonoids are known to have antioxidant and antibacterial activity. This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of ethanolic extract of the leaf of soursop against Shigella dysentriae in vitro. Maceration method was a method that used in extraction by ethanol 70%. Extracts made four variation concentrations (12.5%, 25%, 50%, 75%) for testing the antibacterial activity using the Liquid dillusion with Mc Farland standart. The leaf of soursop interest ethanolic extract analyzed with Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). The results of antibacterial activity showed that Minimum Bactericidal Consentration (MBC) from the extract at concentration 75% against Shigella dysenteriae. Antibacterial activity that has MBC (Minimum Bactericidal Concetration) represented with no bacterial growth on agar media. Minimum Inhibitor Concentration (MIC) represented with inhibits bacterial growth on agar media. The results of this study showed that ethanolic extract of The leaf of soursop (Annona muricata Linn.) was at concentration 75% that had a good enough of antibacterial activity by in vitro testsen_US
dc.description.abstractDaun Sirsak (Annona muricata Linn.) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki komponen aktif senyawa fenol yaitu flavonoid, polifenol, terpenoid. Flavonoid dikenal memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanolik daun sirsak terhadap Shigella dysenteriae secara in vitro. Metode maserasi merupakan metode yang digunakan pada proses ekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 70%. Ekstrak dibuat empat variasi konsentrasi (12.5%, 25%, 50% dan 75%) untuk pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan dilusi cair dengan Standar Mc Farland. Ekstrak etanolik daun sirsak dilakukan analisis dengan metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT). Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa Kadar Bunuh Minimum (KBM) ekstrak berada pada konsentrasi 75% dan Kadar Hambat Minimum (KHM) berada pada konsentrasi 50% terhadap Shigella dysenteriae. Aktivitas antibakteri yang memiliki KBM (Kadar Bunuh Minimum) ditunjukkan dengan tidak ada pertumbuhan bakteri pada media agar. Kadar Hambat Minimum (KHM) ditunjukkan dengan terhambatnya pertumbuhan bakteri. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanolik daun sirsak (Annona muricata Linn.) pada konsentrasi 75% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri dengan uji secara in vitro.en_US
