X-Ray film is a medium used to record body organs with X-ray irradiation. The results of the film used by the user to analyze body parts. The reading of the film using X-Ray viewer tool. The purpose of this research is to design radiology tool that is X-Ray viewer effective and power saving, the tool uses battery as voltage source and use LED as light source, so that is portable. This tool is equipped with a film detection sensor and has 3 settings of light intensity that can be set according to the needs of the user. From the testing of this tool, the result of uniformity of light intensity data that does not exceed the upper and lower control limit, so that this tool produces a uniform light (homogeneous) and has been feasible for reading x ray film.
