PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN CDI DAN KOIL RACING TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK PERCIKAN BUNGA API DAN KINERJA MOTOR 4 LANGKAH 160 CC BERBAHAN BAKAR PERTAMAX PLUS
Abstract
Every year the owner of motor vehicles in Indonesia continually grow, especially a number of motorcycles and cars are not small in order to meet the needs of many people as their transportation that aims to facilitate them to do their daily activities. Many Indonesian societies modify their vehicles by adding parts or changing their original components to get maximum results. One part that is often to modify is the ignition part with the replacement of CDI and Coil Racing to boost the combustion process in the combustion chamber. Besides, to support a good engine performance is required a good fuel. Pertamax Plus is one of the fuels that has advantages because it has been equipped with Ecosave Technologi released by Pertamina with an octane value of 95.
This study was conducted on a 4 stroke engine with 160 cc fuel of pertamax plus to know sparks, torsion, power, and fuel consumption of the variations made. Power and torsion testing is done at 4000 - 10000 rpm engine speed. While the testing of fuel consumption is done at +/- 0 - 60 km / h speed with 250 ml fuel dose.
From the research result, the best sparks on variation of Standard CDI with KTC Coil is due to this variation of constant spark fire. The biggest torsion is found in variation of Standard CDI with KTC Coil of 13,16 N.m at 6268 rpm. The greatest power is obtained on the standard CDI variation with KTC Coil of 13.1 HP at 7853 rpm engine speed. As for the lowest fuel consumption is obtained on the variation of CDI Standard with KTC Coil as far as 51.6 km / liter.
