The purpose of this research is to analyze of Leading Sectors in Gunungkidul Regency Period 2012-2016. The analyze method that used here is Location Quotient, Shift Share, Typology Klassen and SWOT. The result of research with Location Quotient show that during period 2012-2016, Gunungkidul regency have 6 base sector they are mining; agriculture farm, forestry and fishery; water supplay, garbage, and waste management and recycle; other service, government administration, defense and mandatory social security; also large and retal trade; car and motorcycle repairs. Beside it, there are 11 non-base sector they are industrial; electric and gas supply; construction; transportation and ware hause; accomondation provision; Information and communication; financial service and insurane; real estate; company services; health services and social activities; also education services. The result with Shift Share analyze method show and tell that during period 2012-2016, Gunungkidul Regency show the result that all of economic sector (17 sector) that contribute to PDRB Gunungkidul Regency make a good effect to increase in economic growth in one local area.. The result with Klassen Typology analyze method show that agriculture farm, forestry and fishery; water supplay, garbage, and waste management and recycle; large and retal trade; car and motorcycle repairs and other services are the progressing sector and growing rapidly. For the calculating result with SWOT analyze method a policies that able to encourage development and also growth should be encouraged and implemented.
