PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA ANAK USIA 10-11 TAHUN SETELAH MENDAPAT PENYULUHAN DENGAN MEDIA BOARD GAME
Abstract
Background: Oral and dental health education for children is necessary to
increase children knowledge about oral and dental health. There are many health
education methods, one of them is small group method such as simulation game.
Health information can be shown in some form of the game. Dental and oral
health education by playing method can be done with board game which has been
modified into oral and dental health education.
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the difference between the
dental and oral health knowledge testing value of aged 10-11 years old children
before and after play the board game.
Research Design: This study was performed on 36 students by giving pretest and
posttest questions on students aged 10-11 years in elementary school tlogo before
and after game using specially designed board game media.
Result: Based on result of data analysis by using paired t-test, the outcome value
is 0,000 (p <0,05) which mean H0 is rejected, it means that there is increasing the
value of dental and oral health knowledge test at grade 4 and 5 students of 10- 11
years in tlogo, kasihan bantul elementary school.
