PENGARUH VARIASI SUDUT ORIENTASI KONDENSOR (0o, 15o, 30o) TERHADAP HASIL PIROLISIS LIMBAH BUSA POLIURETAN DENGAN DEBIT AIR PENDINGIN 18 LPM
Abstract
Waste is a serious problem that has not been resolved yet. In addition, the depletion of fuel availability has started to happen. In 2004, Indonesia imported polyurethane rigid as much as 12004,685 tons. The need for polyurethane for the State of Indonesia reaches 35 thousand tons in 2014 and all the polyurethane needs are still met through import from overseas. The production of polyurethane foam itself is made of polyols derived from petroleum, but petroleum availability is increasingly reduced and non-renewable. The more the amount of polyurethane foam consumption, the more the amount of waste produced causes the need for processing of polyurethane foam waste. The purpose of this research is to process waste into oil that can be utilized into fuel, especially polyurethane foam waste. This pyrolysis experiment was conducted using polyurethane foam waste (Polyurethane foam) of 3 kg. Each experiment used polyurethane foam waste of 1 kg with a size of 10x10 cm. The test was carried out at 300 ° C-350 ° C using 3 kg LPG gas, each experiment using the same cooling water discharge of 18 LPM. The angle used varies ie 0°, 15°, and 30°. Data collection is done every 10 minutes once for 100 minutes. After the pyrolysis process is done testing of polyurethane foam oil results to know the characteristics of polyurethane foam oil include the value of heat, flash point, density and viscosity. The highest oil production was obtained in an experiment with an angle of 15° yielding 578 ml and a heat transfer of 637.27 Watt. Lowest oil production was obtained in an experiment with an angle of 0° producing 349 ml oil and a high heat transfer rate of 634.14 watt, and an experiment with an angle of 30° yielding 540 ml of oil and a 620.03 Watt highest heat transfer rate. The highest percentage of oil yields were found in experiments with an angle of 15° with 55.5% oil and 27.4% ash. Characteristics of polyurethane foam oil obtained for calorific value 6.661.895 Cal / gr, Flash point 78-800C, density 0.96176 gr / ml, Viscosity 16.5 cp.
