      Abstract
The use of waste from oil palm shells mainly palm oil and plastic waste is still said to be limited due to the lack of technology on the utilization of the waste. It is therefore necessary the waste conversion technology tool or shell oil and plastic waste to be converted into an environmentally friendly fuel. One of the technologies needed by both the waste using pyrolysis technology. This research aims to know the characteristics of the pyrolitic oil Palm shells mixed pyrolysis results and plastic catalyst CaO (Calsium Oxida). The results are examined include the physical nature, namely the density and the degree of acidity of the pyrolitic oil, chemical properties include heat values of constituent compounds and pyrolitic oil. The research was conducted using a fixed bed reactor with the variation of the temperature of 400°C, 425°C 450°C, 475°C and 500 ° C with a mixed composition of Palm shells as big as 500 grams, plastic 500 grams, and CaO catalyst 200 grams. The results showed that the higher temperature then the resulting liquid mass will increase with decreasing mass of the charcoal and the mass of the gas. The highest density of the value obtained at temperature 500°C of 878 kg/m3, the highest degree of acidity is at a temperature of 450°C of 4.30. On testing the value of heat obtained the highest value on the temperature of 400°C of 44.08 MJ/kg, and constituent compounds in pyrolitic oil pyrolysis results included in the hydrocarbons. The highest percentage of hydrocarbons are at a temperature of 400°C of 85.32% and the percentage of oxygenate is at the temperature of 500°C of 24.38%.
