Abstract
Population vehicles in Indonesia are fueled by oil (BBM) every year is increasing while the oil reserves themselves are running out. To overcome this need alternative innovation that is method of saving fuel. One of them with fuel saver. Technology savings for motor vehicles have long been implemented and many types of savings methods. One of them fuel saver tool by utilizing steam Pertamax. To know the effect of the use of fuel saver to motor performance 4 steps 110 cc Need to do an accurate test. this saver device is installed to the fuel system, without modifying the system. Testing is done by using a motorcycle 4 steps Suzuki Smash 110 cc. Testing is done with Pertamax fuel for the material saver. This test to look for a 4-step engine performance includes Torque, Power, and fuel consumption.
Tests carried out fixed test and road test on the motor with saver and without fuel saver, and compare the performance with the above conditions. The results of this study indicate that the highest Torque and Power values are obtained on vehicles using fuel saver, is with a Torque value of 8.61 N / m and a Power rating of 7.9 kW. For the comparison of fuel consumption the highest value obtained on vehicles using fuel saver tool with a value of 68.4 km / liter, while vehicles without fuel saver has a value of 44.4 km / liter. The condition is influenced from the fuel quality and combustion system better than the vehicle without the saver.
