| dc.description | Latar belakang : Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender (LGBT) adalah sekelompok orang yang terlibat kedalam hubungan sesama jenis sehingga menimbulkan kontroversi di masyarakat. LGBT rentan menyerang usia remaja yang sedang menghadapi masa pencarian identitas diri dan dapat meningkatkan angka kejadian stres di kalangan remaja karena stigma masyarakat terhadap kelompok minoritas seksual, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui persepsi dikalangan remaja terhadap fenomena ini.
Metode : Desain pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggali lebih dalam persepsi dan pengalaman partisipan melalui wawancara secara mendalam dengan partisipan berjumlah 14 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan karakteristik. Data dianalisis melalui pendekatan kulitatif menggunakan teknis thematic content analysis.
Hasil : Pada penelitian ini didapatkan 9 tema mengenai persepsi mahasiswa tahun pertama terhadap fenomena LGBT yaitu, menciptakan kesenjangan terdiri dari 4 kategori, mempertahankan ego terdiri dari 3 ketegori, berpotensi untuk berkembang dengan 7 ketegori, tidak mampu memahami agamanya sendiri terdiri dari 2 ketegori, dorongan dalam diri terdiri dari 4 ketegori, terpengaruh secara pasif terdiri dari 9 ketegori, ditolak oleh masyarakat terdiri dari 2 ketegori, jalan untuk kembali memiliki 2 sub tema dan 4 kategori, upaya pencegahan terdiri dari 2 sub tema dan 4 kategori.
Kesimpulan : Persepsi terhadap fenomena LGBT pada Mahasiswa Tahun Pertama di University Residence mendapatkan 9 tema yang muncul dari ide partisipan yaitu menciptakan kesenjangan, mempertahankan ego, berpotensi untuk berkembang, tidak mampu memahami agamanya sendiri, dorongan dalam diri, terpengaruh secara pasif, ditolak oleh masyarakat, jalan untuk kembali, dan upaya pencegahan. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Background : Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) is a group of people who involved into same-sex relationships and make a controversy in the society. Adolescent period is vulnerable for being LGBT because in this period they were looking for self identity and can increase the number of stress between LGBT youths due to the stigma of the society toward this sexual minorities. The research need to be done to find out the perception among adolescents against this phenomenon.
Methods : Design of this research is qualitative descriptive study to know deeper into the perceptions and experiences of participants through in-depth interviews with participants totalling 14 persons were selected through purposive technique sampling based on characteristics. Data were analyzed through qualitative approach using the technical thematic content analysis.
Result : In this study obtained 9 themes regarding the perception of first year students toward LGBT phenomenon they are; creating gaps that consist of 4 categories, defend the ego that consist of 3 categories, potentially to thrive that consist of 7 categories, incapable to comprehend religion belief that consist of 2 categories, the desire in self that consist of 4 categories, passively affected that consist of 9 categories, rejected from certain society that consist of 2 categories, the way to come back has 2 sub themes and 4 categories, and prevention efforts has 2 sub themes and 4 categories.
Conclusion : The perception of first year Students toward LGBT phenomenon in University Residence get 9 themes that appear from the idea of participants they are; creating gaps, defend the ego, potentially to thrive, incapable to comprehend religion belief, the desire in self, passively affected, rejected from certain society, the way to come back, and prevention efforts | en_US |
