      Abstract
Thrombocyte or platelet plays an important role in blood clotting, because it is rich of several different growth factors. The growth factors are found in Platelet-Rich Plasma. Platelet-Rich Plasma is blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets or thrombocytes which contain different growth factors that promote wound healing, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling. Platelet-Rich Plasma can be prepared through several centrifugation methods to produce large amount of platelets. The general purpose of this study was to determine the preparation methods of Platelet-Rich Plasma which produce large quantity of PRP. Matsui-Tabata (2011) and Nugraha et.al. (2012) methods have been used in this study. Acid Citrate Dextrose (ACD) and Citrate Phosphate Dextrose (CPD) were used as coagulants. Technique of double centrifugation was performed in the preparation. Independent T-test was carried out to analyze data. The result of data analysis using Independent Sample T-test indicates value of p<0.05 which means no significant differences found on both methods in yielding the quantity of Platelet-Rich Plasma. Therefore, both methods may be used in PRP preparation.
