GAMBARAN SIKAP PERAWAT TENTANG ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN SPIRITUAL DI RS PKU MUHAMMADIYAH GAMPING YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: Nurse is professional health worker owning intellectual and interpersonal ability, moral, responsibility and having competency in performing nursing care. The nursing care given by nurse may not be deviated from spiritual aspect as it is part of nurse’s interaction with patient. In performing spiritual care for patient, nurse has a purpose to boost client’s spirit of life to achieve peace and life quality betterment. The objective of this research is to identify the description of nurse attitude on spiritual care.
Methodology: This research used quantitative descriptive design. Sample on this research were nurses in total of 50 respondents. The research benefited total sampling technique and used questionnaire as its instrument, whereas data analysis of the research used Microsoft Excel. This research’s validity test indicated that there is one invalid number of question with Rvalues < R table (0,3610) that was on connotative type of question number 2. Reliability test resulted in the value of Cronbach’s Alpha on cognitive component to be 0,636, affective component to be 0,837 and connotative component to be 0,853. Since the value of Cronbach’s Alpha on those three components were more than 0,6 this research instrument was considered reliable.
Research result: respondents’ characteristics on the research are mostly aged from 26-35 years old in total of 33 respondents (66%) with the majority of female in total of 42 respondents (82%), nurse attitude on spiritual care is mostly on adequate category in total of 30 respondents (60%), the component of nurse attitude on spiritual care on cognitive component is mostly in adequate category in total of 39 respondents (78%), and then affective component is mostly in adequate category in total of 29 respondents (58%).
Result: Nurse attitude on spiritual care is considered as adequate in total of 30 respondents (60%). Nurse is expected to improve their attitude on spiritual care on patient
