This study discusses the buying and selling practice in Taman Pintar book stores of Yogyakarta according to Islamic law perspective. This study aims to find out and describe the implementation of buying and selling practice in Taman Pintar book stores of Yogyakarta according its appropriateness with Islamic law. This research is a field research on buying and selling practice in Taman Pintar book stores using descriptive qualitative analysis method. The finding of the research shows that the contract of buying and selling has fulfilled the requirements and principles of buying and selling transaction. The practice of buying and selling in the stores has been in accordance with the Islamic law and is proven not to be fraud. However, there were some things need to be improved in the transaction. It is the practice of buying and selling that is done unfairly since the pirated books were put on sale
