ANALISIS SITUASI KETAHANAN PANGAN PADA KAWASAN PESISIR DI KABUPATEN BANTUL
Abstract
Food is a basic need that must be met everyday. Considering the
importance of food for humans being, therefore increased food security need to be
necessary. Food security in general is reflected by availability of adequate
quantity of food and its quality for public consumption. Food safety conditions in
each region vary, one of the factors that influence it is the geographical condition.
Coastal region is one region that has unique characteristics, both from the
natural and socio-economic conditions of his community. This Research was
aimed to analyze regional characteristics and food security of coastal area in
Bantul Regency based on three aspect of Food Security and Vulnerability Atlas
(FSVA) such as aspect of food availability, food acces and food utility. The three
aspect consist of 5 indicators namely food production, poor household,
unemployments, unworthy houses and toddler malnutritions. This research using
secondary data of 2016 obtained from the relevant agencies. This research was
conducted in the coastal area of Bantul Regency located in Srandakan Subdistrict,
Sanden Subdistrict and Ketek Sub-district is divided into 11 villages. The
result show that mostly villages (73 % ) were in secure criteria based on food
production aspect, mostly villages were in insecure criteria based on poor
household aspect, based on unemployment indicator there are 50 % were in
secure criteria and 50 % were in insecurity criteria, majority of villages were in
secure criteria based on unworthy house indicator and based on the last
indicators were in secure criteria. The result about situation of food security
based on food security aspect mostly villages in coastal area of Bantul Regency
were in secure food situation with 0,27 an average composite score.
