This research analyse about the problem of poverty in South Sumatera province through variables such as Gross Regional Domestic Product, Human Development Index, Unemployment. Subjet and object of this study is poor people in South Sumatra Province by using panel data with Random Effect Model. The study found that Gross Regional Domestic Product and unemployment are positively affecting poor people while Human Development Index is negatively affect poor people in South Sumatera province.
