Abstract
The risk of financing is a potential bank borrower or conterparty will fail to meet its obligations in accordance with agreed term, which causes of financing problem or Non Performing Financing (NPF). It can be caused by systemic risk arising from various macroeconomic factors. This study aimed to analysis of factors affecting financing risk on IslamicRural Banks in Indonesia. It considers the GDP growth, Inflation, exchange rate, and interest rateas independent variables, and Non Performing Financing Ratio asdependent variable. Multiple linear regression was used to test the explanatorypower of macroeconomic variables as determinants of NPF. This study used timeseries data of NPF ratio and four macroeconomic variables over the period fromJanuary 2012 to March 2017.The results proved significant positive association of Exchange Rate with NPF,Inflation with NPF, and Interest Rate with NPF. whereas growth of GDP is significantly negatively associated with NPF. The results of regression estimation show the ability of model prediction is 85,98% while the remaining 14,02% influenced by other factors outside the model that has not been included in the study.
