| dc.description | Latar Belakang : Sistem imunitas tubuh spesifik yang digambarkan dengan angka leukosit darah perifer (limfosit T, limfosit B, dan sel NK) memiliki peran protektif dalam mengenali dan menghancurkan sel-sel kanker dalam tubuh. Peran protektif ini yang menentukan status performa pasien, evaluasi hasil terapi, dan menentukan prognosis pasien kanker. Penilaian skor Karnofsky digunakan untuk menilai status performa pasien, keadaan fungsionalnya, evaluasi hasil terapi dan menentukan prognosis pada semua pasien kanker. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan jumlah leukosit darah perifer dan skor Karnofsky pada pasien kanker payudara.
Metode : Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonekperimental dengan pendekatan studi Cross Sectional. Penelitian ini menggunakan data retroprespektif yang diambil dari rekam medis dan hasil pemeriksaan lab darah tepi pasien kanker payudara pada Juni 2016 – Agustus 2017. Hubungan jumlah leukosit darah perifer dan skor Karnofsky dianalisis dengan uji korelasi Spearman.
Hasil : Dari penelitian dengan total 70 pasien, diperoleh leukosit di bawah batas normal 8 (11,4%) pasien, leukosit dalam batas normal 36 (51,4%) pasien, leukosit di atas batas normal 26 (37,1%) pasien. Hasil pengukuran skor Karnofsky diperoleh pasien terbanyak dengan skor Karnofsky 90% yaitu 29 (41,4%) pasien dan paling sedikit dengan skor Karnofsky 50% yaitu 2 (2,9%) pasien. Hasil pengukuran statistik menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara jumlah leukosit darah perifer dan skor Karnofsky pada pasien kanker payudara (p = 0,000). Nilai korelasi berkekuatan sedang dengan korelasi berlawanan arah (r = – 0,518)
Kesimpulan : Terdapat korelasi antara peningkatan jumlah leukosit darah perifer dengan penurunan keadaan fungsional pasien kanker payudara dinilai menggunakan skor Karnofsky. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Background : The specific body immune system that is described by peripheral blood leukocytes (T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and NK cells) has a protective role in recognizing and destroying cancer cells in the body. This protective role determines the patient's performance status, evaluates the outcomes of therapy and determines the prognosis of cancer patients. Assessment of Karnofsky score is used to assess the patient's performance status, functional state, evaluates the outcomes of therapy and determines the prognosis in all cancer patients.
Objective : to determine the relationship of the number of peripheral blood leukocytes and Karnofsky Score in breast cancer patients.
Method : This was a nonexperimental study with cross-sectional design. This study used retroprespective data that was taken from medical records and laboratory results of peripheral blood samples of breast cancer patients in June 2016 - August 2017. The relationship between the number of peripheral blood leukocytes and Karnofsky score was analyzed by Spearman's correlation test. Result : The result of this study with a total of 70 patients, 8 (11.4%) patients had leukocyte counts below the normal range, 36 (51.4%) patients had leukocyte counts in the normal range and 26 (37.1%) of patients had leukocyte counts above the normal range. The result of karnofsky score was the most patients with karnofsky score of 90% that was 29 (41,4%) patients and at least 50% with karnofsky score that was 2 (2.9%) patients. Statistical result showed that there was a significant relationship between the number of peripheral blood leukocytes and Karnofsky score in breast cancer patients (p = 0.000). Medium strength correlation value with correlation in opposite direction (r = -0,518). Conclusion : There is a correlation between increased of the number of peripheral blood leukocytes with decreased of the functional state of breast cancer patients that was assessed by Karnofsky Score with medium-strength correlations. | en_US |
