      Abstract
The operation lamp is a surgical device used for lighting during the surgery in the operating room. The main function of the operation lamp is to illuminate the object during the operation, which is placed in the operating room and the delivery room. This study is aimed to design the prototype of operation lamps with the proximity sensor to ease the user not to set the intensity of operation lamp. The selection of proximity sensor HC-SR04 is to calculate the distance of the lamp with the object instead of the intensity of the lamp, with the distance of 50 cm, 100 cm, and 150 cm that can change the intensity of the lamp. All these systems are controlled by microcontroller ATMega 328. Based on the data of the module test results that have been done, the average results are obtained on the test of the dimmed light: 587.1 lux, on the test of the bright light: 747.2 lux, and on the test of the brightest light: 1324.1 lux. In the measurement result on the proximity sensor 50 cm, there is 8% error, in the measurement result on the proximity sensor 100 cm, there is 6% error, and in the measurement result on the proximity sensor 150 cm, there is 4% error.
