Abstract
Each building that stands has a risk of fire. The availability of adequate fire protection system and in accordance with the standard is an effective preventive measure to avoid and minimize the occurrence of fire and prevent casualties. then by knowing the risk factors that occur then required design a reliable system in accordance with the standard.
To find out whether the protection system is installed or designed in accordance with the standard. Thus, a thorough analysis of the fire protection system is required. Basically the protection system is divided into two types of active protection and passive protection. Both types of active protection is a unity in which the fire passive protection system is more directed to the architecture while the active protection system is more directed to the automatic.
This research is a qualitative descriptive research with case study design through field observation, interview and document review then performed calculation analysis based on standard set by SNI and NFPA with result of distance placement for 5.3 m heat detector, smoke detector 7.5 m and 1 Indicating Lamp, 1 Bell Alarm, 1 Manual Break Resistant, 1 MCFA and 2 ELOR per floor. the needs of APAR on the ground floor, 1st and 2nd floor are 4 pieces with low hazard classification, fire rating 3A then the type of apar used is Dry Powder type. the use of pipe diameter with the number of hydrant 1 is 3 inch, the number of hydrant 2 is 4 inch, the number of hydrant 3 is 4 inch. the use of IHB (Indoor Hydrant Box) needs for ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor is 1 piece. Water Supply (Ground Tank) with minimum water requirement 3 IHB working Simultaneously for 45 minutes is 72,000 L. And for Volume Ground Tank is 4625 m3
