Food security and welfare of farmer’s household in peri urban areas, Bantul Regency, aim to know the farmer’s income from rice farming, contribution income from rice farming, food security and welfare for farmer’s household in peri urban areas, Bantul Regency. The research was conducted in Banguntapan, Sewon and Kasihan Districts that included peri urban areas in Bantul Regency. Data collection in this research by direct interview with 47 responden in peri urban areas in Bantul Regency. The determination of location in this study taken by purposive and determination of sample taken by simple random sampling. The analysis used in this study is cost and income analysis for farming rice, contribution income analysis, the level of subsisten food, good service ratio analysis and purchasing power of farm household analysis. The results showed that average income farmer rice is Rp 3.276.355. The average contribution income farming rice to all farmer’s household income is 29,80%. Food security of farmer’s household in the peri urban areas of Bantul Regency quite hold food with a value of food security by 1,94. Welfare of farmer’s household in the peri urban area of Bantul Regency with Good Service Ratio analysis showed that farmer’s household in this study more prosperous with value of welfare by 0,66. Welfare analysis with purchasing power of farm household analysis in this study more prosperous with value of welfare is 120% greater than critical score 100%.
