SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS UNTUK PEMANTAUAN POLA PENYEBARAN DENGUE HAEMORRHAGIC FEVER
Abstract
Dengue Haemorraghic Fever (DHF) is a desease that frequently happens in tropic
countries such as Indonesia. Although this disease has always been an important topic every
year, policy studies in order to provide preventive action due to this disease are rarely
conducted.
This research proposed a method to analyse the pattern of DHF case particularly in
Yogyakarta City, DI Yogyakarta province using Geographic Information System (GIS). Two
variable being analyze in this research, based on assumption from several researches and
literatures as the major caused of DHF in certain areas, are demographic density and rainfalls.
The higher those variables are, the higher the DHF incidence will happen.
Result in this research has shown that either of these variables have a significant
correlation to the DHF number of cases. The result was verified using a statistical analysis
based on the same data. As the outcome, a hypothesis is presented that other important
variables might be the caused of DHF case such as micro-climate, relative humidity and air
temperature, also sanitation specifically in each particular area.
