PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN VARIASI FREKUENSI DAN DUTY CYCLE TERHADAP LAJU PRODUKSI GAS HHO PADA GENERATOR GAS HHO TIPE BASA (WET CELL)
Abstract
Energy is one of the important things for human survival. the needs of human life almost all depend on the availability of energy. Over the next few years, humans will remain dependent on non-renewable energy, which is capable of meeting large-scale energy needs, while renewable energy sources have not been able to meet human needs on a large scale. On the other hand, people are faced with the situation of depletion of energy resources, increased environmental damage due to the use of fossil energy and expensive fossil energy prices for the lower middle class specially the fishermen in the coastal areas. Seeing these conditions, intensive research is needed to find, optimize and use alternative energy sources. . Water can be used as alternative energy because the water content consists of chemical structure H_2O and if separated by electrolysis process into H_2 and O_2. The gas yield of this electrolysis process is better known as HHO gas. On the basis of this background, then conducted research on the influence of the use of frequency variation and duty cycle on the production rate of HHO gas in the basic type HHO generator (wet cell). The stages performed in this research include problem identification, problem analysis, design and manufacture of wet cell, water trap, and HHO gas measuring generator. design and manufacture of arduino nano based generator PWM generator. HHO type generator (wet cell) generator test for HHO gas leakage, PWM generator wave generator test for waveform, duty cycle, frequency and voltage. Testing the performance of the wave PWM applied to HHO generator Type of base (wet cell) in case of problems then in the modification and if not then do the data retrieval of the voltage required HHO generator, the current required HHO generator, and the time of production of HHO gas per250cc and electrolyte temperature generator HH0. then do the data retrieval as well as calculation of HHO gas to the power required for gas production in the alkaline type HHO generator (wet cell). The result of the research is that the production rate of HHO gas is getting bigger along with the decreasing of frequency. The largest HHO gas production rate at 500 Hz frequency is 0.49117 gram / min while the smallest HHO gas production rate at 20.000 Hz frequency of 0.15036 gram / min means that the frequency is strongly affect the result of HHO gas production rate. HHO gas production rate increases with increasing duty cycle. The largest production rate of HHO gas in 90% duty cycle is 0,49117 gram / min. the smallest HHO gas production rate at a 50% duty cycle with a frequency of 20,000 Hz of 0.15036 grams / min means that the duty cycle is strongly affecting the production rate of HHO gas. At frequency 20.000 Hz with 50% duty cycle have highest efficiency with efficiency value 93.63%. At a frequency of 500 Hz with 90% duty cycle has the lowest efficiency with an efficiency value of 67.11%.
