PENGARUH KONSENTRASI NaOH SEBAGAI AKTIVATOR ARANG AKTIF JERAMI DALAM PENGELOLAAN LIMBAH TEKSTIL CAIR TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa)
Abstract
Water contamination by textile wastewater is one factor of decreasing growth and yield of paddy. Carbon active of paddy straw that activated by NaOH can be used as an adsorbent in textile wastewater management. This research intended to find out the concentration of NaOH as activator of carbon active on an effective textile wastewater management for the growth of paddy. This research had an experimental method and used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with single factor. That were NaOH concentration which consisted of 3 treatments : 2%, 4%, 6%; and watering with remediated water which consisted of 5 treatments : watering with wastewater, watering with remediation of 2%, 4%, 6% NaOH concentration and irrigationwater. The observed objects were pH, TDS, EC, high of plant, tillers, and weight of roots and canopy. Revealed that remediated textile wastewater from carbon active of paddy straw that active by 2% NaOH was effective to increase the growth of paddy.
