Abstract
There is no universal definition about Conflict, but as
we all know that Conflict is the competition between
parties who have different position, background, interest,
also every parties tend to want to dominate each other.
And in every conflict there are have some cost or
casualities or impacts. In this paper I will mention one type
of conflict, namely Protracted Social Conflict. Protracted
Social Conflict is a conflict that occurs because the
existing conflict resolution is not yet effective to manage
or resolve the conflict. Further there are many causes and
dynamics in this type of conflict, such as the vague
demarcation between internal and external sources and
actors.
My research gives detailed information regarding
Protracted Social Conflict as the “tools” to help analyzing
a root of conflict that occur in Kashmir, along with the
another theory such as Conflict resolution theory, Relative
Deprivation theory, and theory of Causes ethnic Conflict.
To give the limitation in this thesis eventually then, we
focus on a case study of Jammu – Kashmir Conflict in
2010 – 2016.
In this research also gives detail information about the
history or origin of the Kashmir conflict, the security,
economy, social and politics conditions in Kashmir with
the important event or phenomenons in the range of 2010-
2016 and the process of resolution as well as the efforts of
parties who are involved to resolve it.
