Background : Bullying is an aggressive behavior that arises from an individual that can cause suffering, fear, and harm to others. Bullying can be caused by several factors, one of which is parenting. Parenting is the way parents raise children by meeting the needs of children, provide protection, educate children, and affect the behavior of children in everyday life. People in rural areas generally have a system of life in groups with a familial basis. Purpose : To find out the relation of parenting with bullying behavior in adolescents in rural areas Methods : This research used correlation research with cross sectional approach. The sample of this research was 100 respondents with total sampling method. Data collection used questionnaires. Data analysis technique used chisquare. Results : Pattern applied by parents was 86 (86%) parenting pattern and bullying behavior in medium category was 56 (56%). Chi-square test results obtained p value = 0.126 (p> 0.05). Conclusion : There was no relationship between parenting relationships and bullying behavior in adolescents in rural areas. It was expected that adolescents can avoid and not perform bullying behavior in order to avoid psychological problems in adolescents.
