dental anxiety.
Research Objectives: Aim of this study is to investigate the correlation and
strength of correlation between the level of dental anxiety with the patient’s field
of study at UMY Dental Hospital.

design. The subjects chosen for this research were dentistry, engineer and medical
students that received dental treatment at UMY Dental Hospital. There was a 32
students as respondents then divided into 3 groups: dentistry, engineer, and
medical students. The data analysis, Spearman test was used to investigate the
correlation between dental anxiety level and patient's field of study.
Results: The Spearman test shows that p = 0.000, r = 0,642 means that there is a
strong correlation between dental anxiety level and patient study field at UMY
Dental Hospital.
Conclusion: There is a strong correlation between the level of dental anxiety with
the patient’s field of study at UMY Dental Hospital.
