PENGARUH VARIASI SUDUT KONDENSOR (0⁰, 15⁰, DAN 30⁰) TERHADAP HASIL PIROLISIS LIMBAH PLASTIK ALUMUNIUM FOIL DENGAN DEBIT AIR PENDINGIN 18 LPM
Abstract
Plastic waste is still a serious problem in several countries in the world,
without exception Indonesia. Rubbish from plastic is very large. The use of waste
plastic waste is one of the possible alternative ways of producing energy. The
purpose of this research is to process waste plastic waste into oil that can be used
as fuel.
This pyrolysis experiment uses alumunium foil plastic waste material as
much as 3 kg. Once experiment uses 1 kg of aluminum foil plastic waste that has
been cut into size 5x5 cm. The temperature used in the test is 300⁰C-350⁰C using
a heater coming from a gas stove. Cooling water discharge used is 18 LPM, with
variation of condenser angle used is 0⁰, 15⁰, and 30⁰. The time required for
testing 1 kg of aluminum foil plastic waste takes 100 minutes.
The results showed that the highest heat transfer rate was obtained at an
angle of 15⁰ of 238.36 Watt, after which the angle 0⁰ of 175.56 Watt and the angle
30⁰ of 188.10 Watt. The production of oil from aluminum foil plastic waste
material weighing 1 kg for each experiment, for the highest oil obtained in the
experiment corner of 15⁰ produces 372 ml of oil and the remaining 355 gr ash.
While the angle experiment 0⁰ yields 353 ml of oil and 335 gr ash residue, and in
a 30 sudut angle experiment produces 352 ml of oil and the remaining 310 gr ash.
Characteristics of plastic oil aluminum foil pyrolysis results obtained density
value of 0.801 gr / ml, viscosity value of 4.4 mPa.s, calorific value of 10057.89
Cal / g, and flash point of 45.7 ° C.
