PENGARUH VARIASI SUDUT KONDENSOR (0°, 15°, DAN 30°) MENGGUNAKAN KONFIGURASI ALIRAN COUNTER FLOW DENGAN DEBIT AIR PENDINGIN 12 LPM TERHADAP HASIL PIROLISIS PLASTIK LDPE
Abstract
Plastic is widely used as food and beverage packaging. Therefore, the plastic waste is increase. The condenser is an important part of the pyrolysis process. Variation of condenser angle (0 o, 15 o, and 30 o) on pyrolysis is used to configure the effect on pyrolysis oil.
This pyrolysis was conducted with LDPE (low density polyethylene) as much as 1 kg. The temperature was used between 300 oC - 350 oC, with counter flow. Each experiment used the same cooling water flow (12 LPM). The condenser angle used varies 0 o, 15 o, and 30 o.
The result of this study produced a total plastic oil of 550 ml at 0 o, experiment with an angle of 15 ° produced 615 ml plastic oil, and experiment with 30 ° angle produced 635 ml plastic oil. The highest heat transfer was 1286,28 Watt at angle 0 o, 1457,22 Watt in experiment with angle 15 o, and 1552,73 Watt on experiment with angle 30 o.
