PENGARUH PEMBERIAN TERAPI MUROTTAL DAN AROMATERAPI LAVENDER TERHADAP INTENSITAS DISMENORE PADA MAHASISWI ILMU KEPERAWATAN ANGKATAN 2016 UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Dysmenorrhea is a common complaint women experience during menstruation. When women experience menstruation, there will be an increase in prostaglandins that can cause pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea). The effects are pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, malaise, and even synccope. Murottal and aromatherapy therapy is a non-pharmacological way to reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhea. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the intensity of dysmenorrhea after being given murottal therapy and aromatherapy lavender at the student of Nursing Departement University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The research design used was experimental research with one-group pre-post test design. Sample in this research is 20 people taken with non probability sampling that is purposive sampling. The test used is Wilcoxon test with α = 0.05. The average results of dysmenorrhea intensity before intervention 5.40 while after intervention 2.90. There is an average difference before and after the intervention 2.50 with p value =0.000 <0.05, it shows that there is influence of giving murottal and aromatherapy lavender to intensity of dysmenorrhea in student of Nursing Departement University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Advice for adolescents is expected to do murottal therapy and lavender aromatherapy to reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhea and nurses can use alternative nonfarmakologic therapy to reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhea.
