Background: Low back pain is a pain sensation in spinal and paraspinal structure of lumbosacral region. The prevalence of low back pain in several country show a significant percentage every years. Dentist is a high risk job that can cause musculoskeletal disorders especially low back pain. Bad posture, static sit position and repetition movement are several risk of low back pain. Research Objective: The research aimed at learning the illustration of low back pain among dentist in Yogyakarta city Research Methodology: The research is descriptive observational using cross sectional research design. The samples were 76 dentist under “Persatuan dokter gigi Indonesia Yogyakarta” region. The research used questionnaires to measure the level of low back pain of respondent by no disabillity, minimal disabillity, moderate disabillity dan severe disabillity. Research Result: The result indicates based on data, 37 dentist (49%) with low back pain no disabillity, 35 dentist (46%) suffer from low back pain with minimal disabillity dan 4 dentist (5%) suffer from low back pain with moderate disabillity and there are no dentist that suffer from low back pain with severe disabillity (0%). Conclusion: The prevalence of low back pain among dentist in Yogyakarya city reviewed by all the severity level is 39 dentist (51%) suffer from low back pain.
