Dental caries which is the main problem in oral cavity of children, was a disease on the hard tissue of the tooth which indicated by demineralization. Four to six years old children have high prevalence of caries with the percentage 40%- 75%. Parents play important role in keeping oral and dental health on children. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between parenting style with caries index in 4-6 years old children. The design of this research was observasional analytic study with cross sectional approach. Subjects of this research were TK ABA Godegan students that taken by total sampling technique in consideration of inclusion and exclusion criteria (n=48). ICDAS measurement were made on the subjects. The parents were given questionnaire form about parenting style. The data was analyzed by using Eta correlation test. The result of this study, show that p value 0,447 (p>0,05). In conclusion, there has no significant correlation between parenting style and caries index in 4- 6 years old children in TK ABA Godegan.
