SIMULASI ALAT TERAPI VETILIGO
Abstract
Vetilligo is a skin disorder caused by a lack of melanin pigment in the skin, which causes white patches on certain parts of the skin because the melanin pigment is not capable of producing skin colors. Previously, one of the treatment of vetilligo is by using UVB lights with a wavelength of 311 nm whose dim light cannot be regulated as a safety when doing therapy. Therefore a simulation of vetilligo therapy device is designed by using LED lights equipped with timer, safety when lighting the lamp and patient data which can be stored on the SD Card so that patients can control the changes before and after therapy. The simulation of this therapy device is controlled using the Arduino Uno system, and lighting protection is controlled by using PWM circuits and ultrasonic sensors. After distance testing, the highest error is at a distance of 5 cm with a 2.4% error. Overall, the tool system that includes timers, buzzer, hourmeter and data storage has worked well and the error value is still within tolerance of under 5%, thus it is expected that this vetilligo therapy simulation tool is able to operate properly as real therapeutic apparatus.
