dc.descriptionPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mendeskripsikan kompetensi profesional guru SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 2) mendeskripsikan kompetensi sosial guru SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 3) mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 4)membuktikan pengaruh kompetensi profesional terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 5) membuktikan pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, dan 6) membuktikan pengaruh kompetensi profesional dan kompetensi sosial guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping. Jenis penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini meliputi seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 159 siswa. Jumlah sampel adalah 115siswa. Sedangkan tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan tehnik simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan dokumentasi dan kuesioner/angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Kompetensi profesional guru SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping termasuk dalam kategori sedang sebesar 66,85%, 2) Kompetensi sosial guru SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping termasuk dalam kategori tinggi sebesar 65,21%, 3) Motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping termasuk dalam kategori tinggi sebesar 78,80%, 4) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kompetensi profesional guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 5) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kompetensi sosial guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, dan 6) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kompetensi profesional guru dan kompetensi social guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai R square sebesar 0,102 yang berarti besarnya pengaruh variabel kompetensi professional guru dan kompeten sisosial guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 10,2%.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to: 1) describe the professional competence of teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 2) describe the social competence of teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 3) describe the learning motivation of the eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 4) assess the effect of professional competence on the learning motivation of the eight grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, 5) assess the effect of teachers' social competence on the learning motivation of the eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping, and 6) proved the effect of professional competence and social competence of teachers on learning motivation of eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping. This research is qualitative research with multiple linear regression method. The population of this study included all the eighth-grade students, totaling 159 students. Whereas the sample of this study is 115 of them. While the sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. Data are collected using documentation and questionnaire methods. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The professional competence of the teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping is considered to be in the medium category (66.85%, 2) while the social competence of the teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping is considered to be in the high category (65.21%, 3). Meanwhile, the learning motivation of the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping is considered to be high category (78.80%, 4). The teacher professional competence has a significant effect on the learning motivation of eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping 5) The teacher social competence has a significant effect on the learning motivation of eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping and 6) The teachers’ professional competence and social competence has a significant effect on the learning motivation of eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping. This conclusion is based on the fact that the value of R square is 0.102 which means that the influence of teachers’ professional competence and teachers’ social competence on the students’ learning motivation is 10.2%.en_US
