PEMBUATAN MESIN THERMOFORMING MANUAL METODE VACUUM UNTUK BAHAN POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE (PMMA)
Abstract
The development of plastic packaging product equipment is highly developed with human needs in everyday life. the need for cheap machinery / equipment with adequate performance is needed to increase the creativity and innovation of home industry players (UKM). Thus it is necessary to have a machine / tool that is cheap and can provide convenience in making packaging products.
The vacuum forming machine is made by doing work steps starting from making the frame, top cover, heating box, clamp, lever, vacuum chamber, front cover, right cover and left cover. Manual processing of the vacuum forming machine by heating the plastic sheet using a heating box and then forming using a vacuum clener pressure according to the shape of the mold.
Products from vacuum forming machine molds use teak wood measuring 140 mm x 210 mm x 15 mm with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) plastic sheets measuring 420 mm x 320 mm x with 0.20 mm thick using a 100 volt plate heater of 100 watts while maximum vacuum pressure cleaner 12 kPa by heating time 15 seconds, 20 seconds and 25 seconds and vacuum time for 5 seconds, 10 seconds and 15 seconds. Obtaining printouts resembles the shape characteristics of the mold using a heating temperature of 105 ℃ with a heating time of 25 seconds and a vacuum time of 15 seconds.
