STRATEGI DAKWAH YAYASAN PANGERAN DIPONEGORO (YAPADI) DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Islam is a major world religion. It also a major religion in Indonesia. One reason
for this condition is every Muslim are taught to spread the goodness by calling
others to do the good deeds and prohibit other to do the bad deeds. This endeavor
is called da’wah. The rapid spread of Islam needs driving figures and they come
from several Islamic communities or organizations, whether it is rooted in
Indonesian Muslim intellectual culture or it is rooted from other Muslim
intellectual culture (named transnational thoughts). The oldest Indonesian Muslim
organization and also community are Muhammadiyah and Nahdatul Ulama.
Meanwhile, Islamic organizations that seen are rooted from transnational thoughts
are Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI), Ikhwanul Muslimin, Jamaah Tabligh, Salafi
Sururi, Salafi Dakwah, etc.
The aim of the study is to discover the da’wah strategy of Yayasan Pangeran
Diponegoro (Foundation of Pangeran Diponegoro) and also supporting and
obstacle factors of the foundation’s da’wah activities. This study uses the
qualitative approach and the subject are activists or board member of Yayasan
Pangeran Diponegoro. Data collection techniques in this study are observation,
interview, and documentary. The data collected is analyzed by descriptive
analytics technique.
The results of the study are (1) da’wah strategy developed by Yayasan Pangeran
Diponegoro classified into da’wah bil lisan, da’wah bil qalam, and da’wah bil
hal. Meanwhile, da’wah bil lisan and da’wah bil hal are more dominant than
other in da’wah activities of Yayasan Pangeran Diponegoro. It can be seen from
the intensity of time consumed by that two strategies compared to da’wah bil
qalam; (2) supporting factors of the da’wah activities are high motivation, loyalty
of the board members, and funding from the donors; (3) Obstacles of da’wah
activities are the unfamiliarity of teachings taught in da’wah activities of
foundation and the lack of human resource.
