PERCEPTION OF RICE FARMERS TOWARD THE TABELA SYSTEM (DIRECT SEED PLANTING) IN JURANGJERO VILLAGE, KARANGANOM DISTRICT, KLATEN (Supervised by SITI YUSI RUSIMAH & SRIYADI) The Tabela system in several studies has advantages compared to Tapin System, but not many other regions applied in the other hand, many of Jurangjero Village’s farmers use the Tabela system for a period of time. This study aims to determine rice farmers’ perceptions toward Tabela System and the factors related/influenced to farmers' perceptions toward Tabela System. Determination of the location of the study was carried out purposively in the village of Jurangjero Village, Karanganom District, Klaten Regency. Determination of respondents is by census method for Non Tabela farmers (12) and proportional random sampling method for Tabela Farmers (46). Primary data is obtained by interview with questionnaire then secondary data obtained from the village office and sub-district offices about general conditions of the area. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, score analysis, score achievement, and Rank Spearman analysis. The results showed (1) the perception of non-Tabela farmers are in not good category and the Tabela farmers are in good category (2) factors that influence the perception of Non Tabela farmers are socialization that have negative influence and people who invite to use Tabela farmers are the number of workers having negative influence..
