Fire is a disaster that happened because of an uncontrollable flame and cause the loss of materially and morally. Fires in buildings in Indonesia often occur due to human negligence and electrical short circuit in electronic devices. The impact of the fire was the number of casualties, material losses, and damaged buildings. That buildings need a fire protection system with the completeness and placement of the appropriate regulations, in order to minimize the occurrence of large fires. Therefore evaluated the reliability of the fire protection system. The purpose of this study to check the completeness, placement, and assessment on the fire protection system in medium rise building in Yogyakarta. This study used the method of analysis and field observation using PD-T-11-2005. The results of this study indicate the components of the site completeness, rescue device, active protection system, and passive protection system in good condition with the reliability of the building safety system of 82.23%. Where the completeness and placement of infrastructure facilities and facilities at Hotel Prima Inn is good enough and in accordance with the regulations.
