Background: Stroke patients in Indonesia was increasing every years. One effect of stroke was impaired of motor function that cause stroke patients required assistance in ADL and need long term care. The important role of nurses to improved the stroke patient independence, like assessed, assisted, and taught stroke patient and their families about ADL so it do not hamper the fulfillment of patients need. This study aims to describe of nursing implementation in stroke patients ADL fulfillment in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta and Gamping Methods: This research was quantitative descriptive. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with number of sample 42 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire of nursing role in stroke patients ADL fulfillment that arranged alone in the form of question with Likert sacle. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: Nursing implementation in ADL fulfillment, showed 88,10% including poor category, with details in assessing ADL (59,52%), assisting ADL (66,67%), and teaching ADL for stroke patient and their families (90,48%) were in the poor category. Conclusions and recommendations: Nursing implementation in stroke patients ADL fulfillment is poor category, either on assessing, assisting, or teaching stroke patient and their families. Researchers suggest in future studies to do observation and for nurse must improve their performance.
