The phenomenon of BDSM (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission. Sadism and Masochism) is still considered taboo by society, espesially the eastern society. BDSM is a non-mainstream sexual culture or beyond ordinary people in general and still to be marginalized sexual subculture and there is a lot of debate. The role of BDSM is divided into dominant and submissive. This research aims to give a picture of BDSM found in Fifty Shades of Grey movie with a different side. This movie has been widely criticized for being considered violating the norms and the rules that apply to society. Signifying this research is largely based on a black deal on white or called consent which is the primery key to BDSM relationship. This research also describes a power relation that connect the patriarchy culture, which has long been applied to society, to get the result of exhaustive research, the researcher used the semiotic method of John Fiske wiyh three analysis, reality, representation, and ideology. The result of this study is that BDSM is able to regarded as good sex with undisclosed power relation, intimate romance and consent that is designed to be equality between the dominant and submissive.
