Nurses have the ability and authority to perform nursing actions based on the knowledge gained through nursing education. Nurses as health workers should be able to pay attention to the status of patients consisting of bio-psycho-socio-spiritual so that if all aspects are met it will have an impact on the healing process of the patient. Therefore, nurse's role is needed in understanding the bio-psycho-socio and spiritual needs of the patient. The purpose of this research is to know the description of the role of nurses in the fulfillment of spiritual needs of taharah and salat to the inpatient of PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. The design of this study is descriptive analytic with cross sectional study design. The sample was taken using simple random sampling technique with 90 respondents. The result of univariate analysis showed the role of nurse in fulfilling the spiritual needs of taharah and salat to the inpatient of PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. Namely in the category of less 15 respondents (16,7%), in category enough 55 respondents (61,1%), and in good category 20 respondents (22,2%). The role of nurses in the fulfillment of spiritual needs of taharah and salat to inpatients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital is 16,7% less and 61,1% enough and 22,2% good. Based on this research, the nurse is expected to provide spiritual needs of taharah and salat to the inpatient patient thoroughly to provide support and assist the healing process of the patient.
