      CORRELATION EMPLOYMENT STATUS AGAINST PRESENCE OF DENGUE LARVAE IN DEPOK DISTRICT,CATURTUNGGAL SUB DISTRICT AND MOYUDAN DISTRICT, SUMBERSARI SUB DISTRICT, SLEMAN, INDONESIA

      Abstract
      Background Residents in the Depok District and Moyudan District, Sleman has various types of employment. The existence of dengue larvae can not be separated from the role of citizens against dengue fever mosquito. Activeness of citizens in the prevention of dengue is one of the factors that determine spreading of dengue mosquitoes. Aim To find out whether certain types of employment affected the existence of larva in Depok District,Caturtunggal Sub District And Moyudan District, Sumbersari Sub District. Method This type of research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional study design. The study population was resident Depok, Village and District Caturtunggal Moyudan, Sumbersari village, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Province. Samples used in this study as many as 237 respondents to the characteristics of the age of 17-79 years. Analysis of the data in this study using Spearman correlation analysis and contingency coefficient with SPSS for windows. Result Husband's employment in Depok District, Caturtunggal Subdistrict has a p value = 0,019 which means there is a significant relationship between husband's employment with Free Larvae Index (r = 0,383). Likewise in Moyudan District, Sumbersari Subdistrict showed the p value of 0,014 (r = 0,357) for the husband's employment. Conclusion Certain types of employment have an influence on the existence of larvae. The type of employment in this research were self-employed, civil servants, workers, employees, teachers, police, health workers, housewives and activists tend not to have mosquito larvae in their house.
