Books is a window of knowledge so that people who read them become smarter and more skilled so that someone wants to struggle to get new knowledge. Because the current technology book is growing from various aspects, one of which is documentation at this time the documentation is no longer done by manual writing in books or through archives. Everyone has a personal library and textbook ownership which is a lot because of the thirst for science, which keeps the list of book titles owned as catalogs. In order to make it easier for book owners to find out information about the title of the book, the author of the book, the price of buying books, book covers and so on. In making this application the author uses android studio tools with programming languages java and xml. This application can be accessed on smart phones with the operating system 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) The method used in the study is the waterfall. The flow of research in building this application is data collection, operating design, system development and finally testing using the black box testing method. This research was conducted to build an android-based book documentation application to be used by individual users as a storage list of books that are owned and store information needed for example the purchase price of books. With the application of the documentation system this book is expected to facilitate the storage of personal library books and provide information that is important to users.
