HUBUNGAN ANEMIA PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER II DAN III DENGAN KEJADIAN PERDARAHAN POST PARTUM DI PUSKESMAS TEGALREJO YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is still a major problem in health
sector while around 80% of maternal deaths are caused by an increase of
complication that occur during pregnancy and childbirth. Postpartum
hemorrhage is the biggest causes of maternal mortality. The lack of oxygen in the
myometrium muscles can cause uterus contraction not as adequate as it is, so it
can lead to postpartum hemorrhage. This study aim to know the relationship
between anemia in pregnant women in trimester II and III with the incidence of
postpartum hemorrhage.
Method: A non-experimental study with a case control design using secondary
data medical records. The study used 58 sample meeting the inclusion criteria
and regardless of the exclusion criteria that control or give birth at the Tegalrejo
Health Center Yogyakarta. Data analysis used chi-square test.
Result: The results of the bivariate analysis showed that anemia in pregnant
women in the second trimester had a significant relation with the incidence of
postpartum hemorrhage obtained (p value=0,010 ; OR=4,156 ; 95% CI 1,382-
12,493). Whereas for anemia in pregnant women in the third trimester did not
have a significant association with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage
obtained (p value=0,119 ; OR=2,200 ; 95% CI 0,651-7,436).
Conclusions: There was a significant relation between anemia in pregnant
women in second trimester with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. There
was no significant relation between anemia in pregnant women in the third
trimester and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage.
