ANALISA KEKUATAN UJI TARIK DAN KEKERASAN HASIL PENGELASAN ALUMINIUM 2024 PADA LAS TIG DENGAN VARIASI ARUS 60,70,80 A
Abstract
Welding Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or better known as TIG Tungsten Inert Gas welding is a type of electrical (Filler) with Argon protective gas. To produce an electric arc, the electrode is not consumed in use made of metal or its alloys Tungsten which has a very high melting point. Aluminum 2024 or Al-Cu alloy is aluminium with Sulfur of 4.8% and including material which can be heat treated to Heat Treatment and can be used for welding processes. This research aims to know the tensile strength and violence, the result of welding Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) in 2024 aluminum by using a variation of the current 60 A .70 80 A and A. From the results of testing that has been done, it is known that the highest tensile strength was found on A 60 with an average rating of 125.75 MPa, while for the lowest value on the current 80 A with an average rating of 100.7 MPa. The value of the highest Violence is present on the current 80 A with the value on the left of HAZ 146.2 HVN, for the value of the lowest violence is present on the current 60 a. overall strong currents that result in greater Heat Input welding melt anyway will be increasingly quick and mechanical properties changes will occur on the aluminum which makes the value of low strength and soft.
