dc.description.abstract | Scientific approach is a learning approach that is carried out by scientific
steps, namely by identifying problems, asking questions or hypotheses,
observations or experiments to obtain data, analyze data, then communicate
results. There are several types of learning methods suggested by the Minister of
Education and Culture Regulation number 65 of 2013 concerning the standard
process of primary and secondary education, one of which is the scientific
approach. The scientific or scientific approach consists of five stages of learning
activities that are observing, asking, trying, associating, and communicating.
From this, the purpose of this study is to find out the implementation of the
scientific approach in Japanese language learning and teacher responses in
implementing the scientific approach in learning Japanese in the Class X IBB
Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is
qualitative where data is obtained through observation, interviews, and
documentation.
Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that in the process of
learning Japanese in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Yogyakarta has implemented a
five-step scientific approach. The teacher's response in implementing the scientific
approach is that the teacher can feel happy and helped because the teacher only
acts as a guide and facilitator in the learning process and in teaching and
learning activities, students are required to actively seek information related to
