KONTRIBUSI PENDAPATAN USAHATANI TEMBAKAU TERHADAP PENDAPATAN RUMAH TANGGA DI DESA SELOPAMIORO, KECAMATAN IMOGIRI, KABUPATEN BANTUL, YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Tobacco farming still exists because of the need for tobacco to smoke. However, at the moment the existence of cigarettes is being opposed by the community because people are beginning to realize the losses caused by consuming cigarettes. This study aims to determine how much the contribution of tobacco farming income to household income of farmers and find out how much the contribution of income from alternative farming as a substitute for tobacco farming. The location of the study was done intentionally (purposive sampling) and for respondents using simple random sampling consisting of 46 tobacco farmers. The basic method used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that tobacco farming contributed significantly to household income, namely 21.35%, onion farming 35.54%, chili farming 5.75% and rice farming 8.85%. It can be concluded that onion farming can be used as an alternative to tobacco farming because it contributes more to tobacco farming.
