The Research with title “The Strategy To Develop Kotagede Yogyakarta As an Islamic Heritage Tourism Area” has a purpose to identify the internal factors (the strength and weakness) in the development of islamic tourism in Kotagede Yogyakarta region, to identify the external factors (the opportunity and threat) in the development at islamic tourism in Kotagede Yogyakarta region, and to describe the development strategy of islamic tourism which is suit tobe done in the development at islamic tourism in Kotagede Yogyakarta using IPA method. The method which was usedin this research is by taking the sample randomly, the object of the research in taking the sample of this research including the visitors and the people around Kotagede Yogyakarta tourism region. The result that we got was processed using Importance Perfomance Analysis (IPA) method and SWOT analyze. The result of the research is the strategy of the development shari’ah travel by fixing the support facilities , such as provide islamic homestay , cleand and adequate toilet and wide parking are, those things are very important because in travel using shari’ah base is really concern in cleanliness and without the support of shari’ah travel will be difficult to be done.
