Introduction Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is the invasion of microorganisms in the urinary tractus. . Almost 25 - 35% of adult women have had UTI during their lifetime. UTI causing microorganisms are Eschericia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiela, Citrobacter, Enterobacter and Pseudomonas.. Each hospital need susceptibility pattern for empirical antibiotic treatment of UTI Objective To know the susceptibility pattern and empirical antibiotic treatment on Urinary Tract Infection in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta Methode Descriptive observational retrospective study with cross sectional approach. Urine sample from all inpatients diagnosed with UTI within Desember 2012 until Desember 2014, according to the medical record. Results: Fifty-six UTI patients 63.5 % are females and 60.7 % are 40-69 years old. There are five most common microorganisms isolated from urin samples : Escherichia coli (19.64%), Enterococcus faecalis (14.28%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (12.5%), Acinetobacter baumanii, (8,92%) and Klebsiella pneumonia (8,92%) The susceptibility pattern isolate from urin sample of UTI are Meropenem the most sensitive (48.2%) and then Amikacin (44.6%) and Levofloxacin ( 28.5%) the lowest sensitive are Amoxycillin (1.7%). There are four most common empirical antibiotic treatment were given by clinicians : Ceftriaxon (26.7%) Cefotaxim (19.6%), Levofloxacin (14.2 %), and Ciprofloxacin(14.2%). Conclusion : Escherichia coli is the most common cause of Urinary Tractus infection in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta, while Meropenem showed the highest sensitivity percentage but the most common choice of empirical antibiotic treatment by clinicians is Ceftriaxonen_US
