POTENSI SAMPAH ORGANIK DI KAMPUS UMY UNTUK DIJADIKAN ENERGI TERBARUKAN
Abstract
The development of a waste power plant (PLTSa) is a renewable energy solution that can help reduce dependence on fossil energy. Therefore it is necessary to develop other alternative energy sources such as waste which is used as a solution to suppress the use of fossil fuels. So that the research on the potential of organic waste at UMY campus to be used as renewable energy is expected to provide an overview and solution for the future that UMY can process waste into renewable energy.
With the gasification method, one of the emerging technologies is used to convert organic waste into biomass fuel. which is then called gas producer. The producer gas then fed to the generator motor to produce electricity makes it an alternative for waste utilization. 31.8 tons / year of organic waste can produce as much as 7954.2 liters / year of biomass and feed to produce 5302.1 kwh / year of electricity.
