| dc.description | Latar belakang : Merokok merupakan salah satu masalah di masyarakat yang sampai saat ini sulit untuk diselesaikan, terlebih diperparah oleh efek globalisasi. Pada tahun 2011, 6 juta kematian tiap tahunnya disebabkan oleh kebiasaan merokok, termasuk di dalamnya yaitu perokok pasif. Jumlah perokok di Indonesia terus bertambah yang didominasi oleh usia 15 tahun keatas. UMY adalah tempat proses belajar mengajar yang memiliki SK rektor tentang kebijakan kampus bebas asap rokok yang melarang mahasiswa perokok aktif merokok di area kampus, namun sampai saat ini masih ada yang melanggar.
Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta terhadap kebijakan kampus bebas asap rokok.
Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data diambil menggunakan diskusi kelompok, wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan purposive sampling didapatkan 17 orang partisipan yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dan satpam kampus UMY.
Hasil : Mahasiswa perokok aktif memilki sikap setuju dan tidak setuju terhadap KBBR, sedangkan mahasiswa perokok pasif semuanya setuju. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai macam faktor yaitu tanda-tanda larangan kurang, sumber informasi KBBR, pengetahuan subjek, pengaruh lingkungan, dan pengaruh orang lain.
Kesimpulan : Terdapat perbedaan dukungan pada perokok aktif yang memiliki sikap setuju terhadap KBBR, yaitu mendukung dan tidak mendukung KBBR. Sedangkan pada perokok pasif sikap semua mahasiswa setuju dan mendukung KBBR. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Background: Smoking is one of the problems in society which is difficult to be resolved, moreover, it is aggravated by the effects of globalization. In 2011, six million deaths each year are caused by smoking, including the passive smoker. The number of smokers in Indonesia continues to grow, which is dominated by the age of above 15 years. Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) is one of the learning process places that implement a smoke-free campus policy which prohibits smoking in college students, however, there are people who still violate the rule until today.
Objective: To determine how the students’ attitudes of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta toward a smoke-free campus policy.
Methods: This Research is a qualitative study with the phenomenological approach. The data were taken using group discussions, in-depth interviews, and observation. Total sample which were 17 participants they area student and security was determined by purposive sampling technique.
Results: Students who were active smokers agreed and disagreed on KBBR, meanwhile, students who were passive smoker all agreed. It was influenced by various factors: the lack of prohibition signs, resources of KBBR, subject knowledge, environmental influences and the influenced of others.
Conclusion : There is a difference of support in active smokers who have agreed to KBBR attitude, that support and does not support KBBR. While in passive smokers attitude of all students agree and support KBBR | en_US |
