STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT DI PT PERKEBUNAN MINANGA OGAN SUMATERA SELATAN
Abstract
This study aims to (1) analyze the factors of strength, weakness, opportunities and threats faced by PT. Minanga Ogan; (2) formulating business development strategies that can be applied in accordance with the potential and also internal and external factors that affect PT. Minanga Ogan; (3) recommend which alternative strategies are most suitable with PT. Minanga. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that (1) the company has twelve strengths and four weaknesses. The main strength factor at PT. Minanga Ogan is a factory location adjacent to the plantation, access to the location is smooth, and the company's profit growth is smooth, while the main weakness factors are expensive equipment and production costs, and for external companies there are five opportunities and four threats. The main opportunity factors at PT. Minanga Ogan is that demand for palm oil products is increasing, government policies fully support the oil palm plantation business, and the government does not limit the export of palm oil, while the main threat factor is the marketing system following the rules imposed by the government; (2) Strategies for developing oil palm plantation businesses at PT. Minanga Ogan based on SWOT analysis obtained six alternative strategies that can be applied by PT. Minanga Ogan; (3) The order of priority strategies using the QSPM matrix is a strategy that should be a top priority for PT. Minanga Ogan is the company has more than one branch and collaborates internationally and included in PBSN II can be used to reduce the threat of the entry of new entrants in the same field.
